Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries: For taste, the taste is an uninspiring Mexican fail. There was no hint of cumin (which was a surprise to not be honest) and they were not spicy – at all – in any way despite the cayenne pepper.
The flavoring was dull at most. It certainly wasn’t Mexican or even being Mexican-inspired could be an exaggeration.
It’s not that they were bad tasting however they did not have any flavor, aside from an inexplicably muddled mix of flavors and the occasional ‘to.

It’s not the truth, but I’d be pleasantly surprised to see the healthiest fry available – whether it’s at a drive-through or any other place.
The fries are standard and come with an average of 18 grams of fat (28 percent of DV.) The most luxurious version increases them up by 24g (37 percent in DV.) Of course, the Bell Grande version doubles it up to 48g (a massive 74 percent of DV.)
The fries themselves don’t cost that huge, especially when you think about it. When you take a look at the small portions it puts it in the context of.
But again, when you think about their roots? They’re certainly not the healthiest product you can purchase.

The fries cost $1, which is why it’s hard to find an excuse not to be worth a shot. They weren’t a hit for me, but as always, fries and nachos are a snob’s delight and it caused massive panic when they were brought back in the year 2019. There was so much commotion about the fries.
Taco Bell announced via Twitter, “We’ve heard our fans loud and clear. They’ve been making waves on social media demanding to see us bring back our beloved fries.”
So my single “eh” opinion on this seems to be obscured by the roar of screaming fans.
Final Verdict
I’m not disappointed I’d recommend everyone to at most think about having these. Particularly if you’re into cheese whiz and steak fries and cheese whiz, which is what it is.
It’s not my intention to boast however, I’m a self-certified fry snob and nacho lover and, therefore everything about the nacho fries made me want to evaluate the fries. This includes the often extravagant claims of people who love them or Taco Bell.
If you’re unaware that these fries are smothered with “Mexican spice” and are served with nacho cheese. Unless you upgrade with Nacho Fries Supreme, which is loaded with cheese that has been melted as well as seasoned ground beef tomatoes, and sour cream.
You can also get The Bell Grande, which doubles the portion size at $5. If you’re looking to get fancy with it You can also choose Guac for an additional fee.
However, the point is why do you need to know which ones you are?
One reason: These fries were the most popular product that was launched by Taco Bell ever and that means they were better than tacos.
Second reason: when you consider that Taco Bell has been around since the 1960s and is famous for its tacos which is a pretty important thing to consider.
Three reasons: the internet was rioting after they were taken from their computers.
Fourth reason: the amount of hype about the French fries from Taco Bell was incredible.History
Taco Bell launched their nacho fries with a significant amount of self-promotion in the year 2018. and, however much I’d hate to admit that the press release they released shook me up:
“From the menu brand that delivered The Naked Chicken Chalupa along with the Crunchwrap Supreme, comes Nacho Fries which are set to debut in all restaurants across the nation for $1.
The most anticipated menu item of the year will be perfectly crisped with a hefty Mexican seasoning, and served with an option of dippable warm Nacho Cheese beginning the 25th of January.”
A bit overdone? It could be, but you certainly hear the rhythmic bass in the background when the song is read. It wasn’t just Taco Bell that tooted its horn (or did it ring its own bell? ):

After launching the fries with the designation of LTO and then pulling them back from the launch, relaunching, repelling, and then relaunching as usual fast-food style, Taco Bell announced plans to introduce the “all-new flavor that is sure to be met with fan and critical applause” on January 1, 2020.
We don’t know the exact nature of this new flavor and whether their giddy claim will be accepted by critics who are a part of Taco Bell (myself including.)

Taco Bell’s “inspiration” for their nacho fries – if we would like to extend the definition of the term, it appears to stem from their strange concurrence with McDonald’s.
In terms of all the other toppings are concerned, the beef, cheese, hot sauce, guac, and whatever other toppings you can put to these fries aren’t thinking of going away from Taco Bell anytime soon.
For me, it’s the right choice to get on the feet of burger chains such as McDonald’s, BK, and Wendy’s without putting too much money at risk.
What do you think of the frites… ” inspired”? Eh, hardly. The concept of loaded or spicy fries was around for some time, Taco Bell grabbed both and put them in a bowl (pun not intended.) They’re certainly not as innovative as their naked chalupas and Doritos Locos Tacos.
The most distinct aspect these fries possess in common is the name of their “Mexican” seasoning. I’ll go into the reasons I’ve added quotes within a second.
Different types of Nacho Fries
There are two kinds of fries available or two kinds of fries that can be readily available. The first is, naturally the Mexican fries that are seasoned.
Another is a huge mystery that we’ll need to wait until January 31st, 2020 to get rid of. The only thing we know is the fact that Taco Bell is dubbing whatever spin-off as a “flavor new product.”
The most thrilling aspect about these fries isn’t the fact that Taco Bell wants to use them for, but how you can use them for. I’m looking forward to when a unique secret recipe maker will use these fries to great use.
We’ll need to eat the fries exactly as they were intended, I suppose.

The Taco Bell press release states that its fries have been “crisped until they’re perfect” and I wondered what kind of perfect these fries are crispy too.
If you’re a fan of the slightly crispy exterior, completely filled with ‘that thing, then you’ll likely like the fries better than I do.
However, in that regard they didn’t go to complete mush after the toppings, so you’ll need to go somewhere to achieve this. Official site
The consistency of the cheese itself was what you’d think of to find at Taco Bell. When it was cool, it created a thick, spongy layer of skin that the fries could not be able to penetrate. Even more so, once it was it was warm, the cheese fell across the fries.
