Each bag of Natural-Cut Fries is packed with crisp golden fries, with a warm chewy bite inside. Made from Russet potatoes Wendy’s leaves the potato skins on fries, which gives them an extra crispness and a natural flavor.
They have a nutty flavor however, they are cut such that the skins are mainly on the ends rather than covering the length of the fry.
There’s less processing involved in these fries than original ones since there’s no requirement to boil the potatoes to peel off the skins before cooking the fries.
The sea salt sprinkle is designed to provide the natural flavor of the food however I was unable to discern the difference between salt previously used and the brand fresh sea salt.
Although not terribly oily, I am happy with the fact that Wendy’s makes use of vegetable oil which is not a source of saturated (animal) fat.
This can affect the flavor, but also makes it a better food choice for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions.

I believe this provides the fries with a nutty flavor, with a savory taste. But the oil’s flavor is somewhat bland.
It appears that they attempt to make up for the tasteless oil by adding more sea salt. In my view, it’s way excessive. I like it when flavors are infused, but not as often when they’re poured all over.
I discovered that the best method to enhance and balance the flavor of fries is to serve fries with my favorite sauce mix- ketchup mayo, and mustard. Official site.
If I’m feeling adventurous I’ll even dip a salty portion of fries into the ice cream of Wendy’s Frosty – for nostalgia’s sake.
I would never normally purchase Wendy’s Natural-Cut fries as a stand-alone item. If you compare the 1 to.
Donald’s fries, I’d give Wendy’s Natural Cut Fries 7 points, mostly due to the fact that I love the skins and also because I’m convinced that sea salt is healthier for your health than table salt.
If they’ve been at the table for more than a couple of minutes, my score will drop to 5 – or 6-. They should be fresh and crisp!
